Highlights from Zok's research programs

Research Description

Design, performance and mechanics of advanced engineering materials and structures, including high-temperature ceramic composites, blast-resistant sandwich panels, and armor systems for ground vehicles. Structure-function relationships in sclerotized biological materials and coatings.

Biography

Professor Zok obtained his Ph.D. from McMaster University in 1989 and joined the faculty of UCSB in 1990. He is the associate chair of the department of materials.
